Warm celebration on the establishment and unveiling of ‘China-UK Entrepreneurship Education Demonstration Base’ in Guangxi Nanning Technician College

New Yearcelebration is auspicious, and the China-UK cooperation in enterprise andentrepreneurship education opens a new chapter. On the morning of February 21,Guangxi Nanning Technician College and National Centre for Entrepreneurship inEducation (NCEE China) jointly held the unveiling ceremony of "China-UK Enterpriseand Entrepreneurship Education Demonstration Base" in Nanning. Mr. MaDeguan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Nanning Technician College(hereinafter referred to as "College"), Mr. Wang Xiaoyu, CEO of NationalCenter for Entrepreneurship in Education China (hereinafter referred to as"NCEE (China)"), a team of expert trainers in entrepreneurshipeducation from the UK, relevant leaders of the College and 60 outstandingteachers attended the event.

At the unveilingceremony, Ma Deguan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi NanningTechnical College, first of all, on behalf of the College, warmly welcomed thearrival of NCEE trainers. Then based on the objectives and requirements of thedocument issued by the General Office of the Ministry of HumanResources and Social Security on further improving the entrepreneurialenvironment of technical colleges and universities and enhancing theirstudents' entrepreneurial awareness and ability by the comprehensiveentrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship training for school students,he illustrated the importance of the cooperation with NCEE and the significanceand purpose of starting from educator training. Secretary Ma encouraged theteachers who participated in the training to seize and cherish the opportunityand study earnestly to achieve success by forming a strong team of entrepreneurialteachers and taking this opportunity to push the college's entrepreneurshipeducation reform to a higher level.

Subsequently, Mr.Wang Xiaoyu, CEO of NCEE (China), delivered a speech on behalf of NCEE. Hefirst introduced the history and development of NCEE and the currentcooperation development between NCEE and the Chinese schools and colleges. Fromthe perspective of world and domestic economic development and policyrequirements, he analyzed the necessity, feasibility and conditional advantagesof entrepreneurship education showed full expectations and confidence onGuangxi Nanning Technician College as the first technician college partneringwith NCEE and the in-depth cooperation with human resources and social securitydepartments at all levels in the future.

The establishmentof "China-UK Entrepreneurship Education Demonstration Base" intechnical colleges and universities marks a new chapter for NCEE'sparticipation in the training of local skilled talents in China. Both sides willsurely carry out more in-depth cooperation in the training of entrepreneurialteachers, the development of entrepreneurial courses, the construction of entrepreneurialtraining bases to make enterprise and entrepreneurship education accessible toall teachers and students and embedded into the whole process of trainingskilled talent so as to promote the entrepreneurial ability of skilled students.As the first China-UK demonstration base of entrepreneurship education, this kindof cooperation will also serve as a model of international cooperation in entrepreneurialeducation in the future. It will provide other technical colleges withexperience and methods that can be used for reference and imitation in suchfields as entrepreneurial education model, entrepreneurial educator cultivationand school entrepreneurship transformation so as to make the UK entrepreneurialeducation model implemented and fruitful not only in Guangxi but also in thewhole country.

After the banner-unveilingceremony, 60 excellent teachers selected by Guangxi Nanning Technician Collegeparticipated in the "NCEE International Entrepreneurial Educator Training"for four days, which was delivered by two British senior entrepreneurial trainingexperts from NCEE.
